Police Search For Dog Owner After 8-Year-Old Girl Attacked
Police are searching for the owner of a Staffordshire bull terrier that attacked an eight-year-old girl in Eastbourne.
The child was bitten in the face by the black-and-white dog on Saturday 17 October. The incident happened as the child walked with her mother on Colwood Crescent at about 20:30.
The child was bitten in the face by the terrier when it leapt at her while being walked by a white girl, 16-18 years old, 5'10", wearing a grey hoodie.
She sustained bite marks and a broken nose.
Anyone who saw the incident, noticed the girl walking the dog or who knows who she may be is asked to contact police by email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101.

Baby Girl Dies In Dog Attack
An 11-month-old baby has died after being mauled by a pet dog, police in Lancashire have said. The baby girl, from Emily Street in Blackburn, died in hospital at about 23:00 on Monday. Police have arrested a 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of child neglect in connection with the incident.

A man has been arrested after a six-year-old girl had part of her ear bitten off by a dog in London. The 56-year-sold man attended Chingford police station on Sunday morning and was arrested on suspicion of allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place. He is currently in custody at an east London police station.
