Six charged over Tube station death

Six people have been charged in relation to the killing of a 19-year-old man who was stabbed at a London Tube station on Thursday.

British Transport Police and the Metropolitan Police were called in to Hounslow West Underground station at 11.20pm on Thursday. The victim, Sayed Abbas, who was with two friends at the time, was taken to West Middlesex hospital but he died shortly after arrival.

Four of those charged over the weekend are under 18 and cannot be named for legal reasons.

Four people are expected to appear before Feltham Magistrates Court today.

Manslaughter Charge For Man Over Railway Death

Darren Palmer, 38, from Clacton appeared before Colchester Magistrates Court today, charged with the manslaughter of Kelly Mack. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Chelmsford Crown Court on June 23.

Riot Police Deployed As G8 Protesters Occupy Former Police Station
Some 100 riot police have been deployed in central London as protestors take to the streets to demonstrate ahead on the G8 summit being held in Northern Ireland next week. Officers were sent to Soho, where protesters are thought to have occupied a former police station on Beak Street.

Former Minister Held After Alleged Assault
A former Welsh Office Minister has been arrested following an alleged assault on a Conservative party canvasser. Rod Richards, 61, a former Clwyd West MP has been accused of attacking the party worker who was canvassing door-to-door on Wednesday evening. He was held over night at Cardiff’s Fairwater Police Station for questioning.

Teenager remanded over sister's death
A 14-year-old girl from West Yorkshire has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of her 16-year-old sister. The teenager appeared before Bradford Magistrates' Court on Thursday. She has been remanded into the care of the local authority and is due to appear before Calderdale Youth Court in Halifax on April 4.
