Teenager remanded over sister's death
A 14-year-old girl from West Yorkshire has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of her 16-year-old sister.
The teenager appeared before Bradford Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
She has been remanded into the care of the local authority and is due to appear before Calderdale Youth Court in Halifax on April 4.
Both girls were found at a house in Ovenden in Halifax suffering from stab wounds on Monday night and they were taken to Calderdale Royal Hospital, but the older girl later died.
The younger girl was treated for knife wounds in hospital before being taken to a police station for questioning.
A post-mortem was carried out on the 16-year-old on Tuesday but the results have not yet been made public.

A 16-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of 15-year-old Kiyan Price. Kiyan, a young footballer who played for Queens Park Rangers' youth team, died after being stabbed near the London Academy school in Edgeware, north London, last Thursday. A post-mortem revealed that he died from a single stab wound to the chest.

A man arrested over the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl he met online, has today been remanded in custody charged with child abduction. Lorry driver Robert Williams, 49, of Whitburn, West Lothian, Scotland, appeared at Grimsby Magistrates' Court, where he declined to enter a plea during a brief appearance.

Man remanded over bath girl abduction
A 34-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the kidnap, rape and indecent assault of a six-year-old girl, abducted from the bath in her home. Peter Ivor Smith - also known as Voisey - from Blyth, Northumberland was arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the attack, which took place on December 27 last year.
