City feels financial effects of blasts
Share prices in the UK and beyond have plummeted in the wake of Thursday's terror attacks on London.
The FTSE 100 share index initially fell 118 points to 5,111, but has since rallied somewhat to 5120.8.
Across Europe, in France, Germany, Holland and Spain, indexes all fell more than 2.5%.
The value of the pound has fallen to a 19-month low against the dollar, and the price of crude oil has also dipped.
Insurers, airlines and holiday companies were most affected, with shares in Prudential, Royal & Sun Alliance, British Airways, travel company First Choice and cruise operator Carnival all down.
The London Stock Exchange has no plans to close, but is keeping the situation under review.
Anyone concerned about friends or relatives in London can contact the emergency helpline on: 0870 156 6344.
