Funeral for murdered mother and baby

The funeral of the wife and baby of Briton Neil Entwistle is to take place later today in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Rachel Entwistle, 27, and nine-month-old Lillian were found shot dead in their home in Hopkinton, Massachusetts on January 22.

Mr Entwistle, also 27, has been staying with relatives in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, after flying to the UK shortly before the discovery of the bodies.

US police had spoken to him on the phone, following the discovery, and he voluntarily attended the American embassy in London to speak with police last Friday.

It is understood that Mr Entwistle is not being treated as a suspect in the inquiry, although he has been labelled as a "person of interest". He is not expected to attend the funeral service, which is being held at St Peter's Church in Plymouth, according to reports from US police.

Middlesex District Attorney Martha Coakley said that "consistent progress" has been made in the case.

Police are believed to be examining the possibility that the murders are linked to Mr Entwistle's involvement in an internet business.
