Schoolgirl critically ill following accident at rail crash site
A 15-year-old schoolgirl has been left in a critical condition after she was hit by a car while paying tribute to two fellow pupils killed in a rail crash last week.
The girl was among a group of mourners who were injured when a car mounted the pavement near Salisbury School in Edmonton, north London on Monday afternoon.
Two other male pupils, aged 15 and 16, a teaching mentor at the school and the parent of a pupil were also injured in the accident.
The group were looking at floral tributes left for two schoolboys - Jamie Yuksel and Voker Hasa - who were killed after being hit by a train at a crossing in Edmonton last Friday, when a black Vauxhall Astra mounted the pavement and crashed into them.
A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He has been released on bail until May.
Police investigating the deaths of the two boys have said that it appears to have been a tragic accident.
The Health and Safety Executive has launched an investigation into the accident.

Two Killed In Light Aircraft Crash
A pilot and a passenger have died in a light aircraft crash near Wymeswold in Leicester, police have confirmed. Police were called by the ambulance service at 7.55pm last night. Officers are working in conjunction with the Air Accident Investigations Branch (AAIB) to investigate the cause of the crash.

A coach crash in Hampshire today has left 50 people injured, five of them seriously, it has emerged today. The accident occurred at around 11am this morning when the coach apparently hit the rear wheel of a tractor while travelling north on the A34 near Tot Hill, Winchester.
