Four men arrested in anti-terror operation

Four men have been arrested under the Terrorism Act in London as part of a continuing investigation into alleged international terrorism, police have revealed.

Three men - two aged 29 and one aged 21 - were arrested on Monday night in Hackney, east London, while the fourth man - who is aged 28 - was arrested on Tuesday in south-east London.

The men are being held at a police station in central London on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.

The arrests are in connection with an inquiry being led by West Yorkshire Police and are connected to the arrest of a 21-year-old Bradford man who was arrested at Manchester Airport earlier this month and charged last week.

A 16-year-old boy from Dewsbury, who was also arrested in connection with the same investigation, has also been charged.
