Teenager's body found in Ecuador river
The body of a British teenager who went missing during a school trip to Ecuador has been found in a river.
Aaron Goss, 17, had been on a trip to the South American country with classmates from Wollaston Secondary School, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
He disappeared in the Tena region of eastern Ecuador as he swam with other classmates in waters near the Shangri-La resort on July 26.
Tour leaders reportedly said that one of the professional guides with the group saw a splash in the river where some of the teenagers were swimming.
When the teenagers cleared the river, it was noticed that Aaron was missing.
A specialist river search was launched for the teenager in the area, which is understood to be a popular swimming place used many times by students on previous trips. His body was found in the Rio Anzu River on Monday.
A post-mortem was due to take place later on Tuesday.
Adventureworks, the company which organised the trip, said that they had already begun an inquiry into the incident, but said that it could not be completed until they had debriefed the expedition leader and the assistant leader.

Child Pulled From River In Scout Trip Dies
A six-year-old boy has died after being pulled from a river in Suffolk on an organised trip with a Beaver Scout group. Alan Lock was found by officers who were called to Ballington Bridge, in Sudbury on Tuesday evening. He was found near a bridge in the area, shortly before 7.30pm and was later taken to hospital in Bury St Edmunds, but later died.

Teenager convicted of manslaughter over river death
A 17-year-old boy has been found guilty of manslaughter after killing another teenager by pushing him into a river where he drowned. David Berry, 16, was pushed to his death from a bridge over the River Stour in Dorset in June 2004. He had a phobia of water and was unable to swim.

Three Arrested In Connection With Murdered Teenager
Police investigating the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in Liverpool on Saturday have arrested two men and a woman. Teenager Kevin Wilson was shot in the back in Wavertree on Saturday, in what police described as a "targeted attack". Police have arrested a 54-year-old man from Toxteth, and a man and woman from Kensington, both aged 37.
