Two further terror training suspects remanded

Two further men have been remanded in custody following their arrest on Thursday on terror training charges.

Mohamed Hamid, aged 48, of Clapton, east London, faces charges of soliciting murder and providing terror training.

The second man, Kibley Da Costa, aged 23, of West Norwood, south-east London, is charged with terror training offences.

The men, charged on Thursday, were among 14 arrested in raids in London earlier this month, which included a raid on a Chinese restaurant.

The overnight raids in London on September 1 led to 12 arrests at The Bridge to China Town restaurant in Borough, south London, and two elsewhere.

Twelve men have now been charged, and two released. Hamid will appear at the Old Bailey on 29 September.

Da Costa will next appear again at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on 22 September.

Of the others arrested, five men and a youth arrested in the operation were remanded in custody after appearing in Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

French Court Postpones Extradition Decision
Magistrates in France have today postponed a decision on the extradition of Robert Williams, to the UK, after he was found with a teenage girl from Lincolnshire. Fifteen-year-old Laura Stainforth, was discovered in France last week with Mr Williams after going missing from her home.

S Club Star Stevens Robbed
Popstar Rachel Stevens has been left "shaken" after a door-step ambush by three men demanding her jewellery. The robbers followed the Strictly Come Dancing runner-up to her Regents Park home, in north London, yesterday afternoon. They are believed to have made off with her engagement ring, a necklace and a watch.
