BBC to show Hammond crash

The BBC is planning to show a special programme about the high-speed crash in which 'Top Gear' presenter Richard Hammond nearly died, according to reports.

Hammond, 36, is recovering from a brain injury sustained in the crash, which happened while filming a segment on a jet-powered dragster for the BBC show at Elvington airfield, near York, last month.

Reports indicate that Hammond is expected to feature in the programme, talking about the accident and what went wrong.

Speaking to the 'Daily Mirror', a television source said: "The aim is not to be gruesome but to show all the preparations."
