Third man arrested over shooting

Police have confirmed that a third man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of two teenagers at a McDonalds restaurant.

The 18-year-old is being questioned at a south London police station.

The two youths both aged 17 were shot by a gunman at the restaurant in Brixton on September 28. One of the teens was shot in the chest and remains in a stable condition in hospital, while the other was shot in the arm.

It is believed that the teens were involved in an argument with some other people in the restaurant before the shooting.

Two male youths who were arrested last week in connection with the shooting have been released - one on bail until October, while the other was released without charge.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Trident gun crime unit are investigating the shooting.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Trident detectives on: 0208 785 8580 or Crimestoppers anonymously on: 0800 555 111.
