Couple found dead in museum

Police are investigating a suspected murder and suicide at the World Museum in Liverpool.

Merseyside Police were called to the World Museum on Sunday, following reports that a man had fallen to his death from a balcony.

However, police then discovered a teenage girl suffering from stab wounds.

The pair were taken to hospital where both later died.

According to reports, the girl was 17, while the man is understood to be 21, and they both knew each other.

Police said that the girl's stab wounds were not self-inflicted and said that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

The museum remains closed following the deaths.

Teenager Killed In Stabbing Incident
A teenager has been stabbed to death, following reports of a fight in south-east London. It is understood police were called to a disturbance at a block of flats in the Brockley area on Thursday evening. They found two men, both aged 17, with stab wounds. Both were taken to hospital.

Police have launched a murder inquiry after a three-year-old girl was found dead at a house in Birmingham. A women in her 20s is being held by detectives investigating the death. She is still being questioned. The child's remains were discovered by officers on Saturday evening at an address on Milverton Road, Erdington.

Brothers in court over boat captain's death
Two brothers are due to appear in court charged with the murder of a pleasure boat captain. Christopher Liddard, 26, of Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire and his 21-year-old brother Andrew, from Harlow in Essex, have been charged with murder and affray in connection with the death of Michael Reed.

Romanian Girl Feared Abducted In Scotland
Police in Glasgow are continuing their search for a teenage Romanian girl, amid fears that she may have been abducted. Irina Carpaci, 15, disappeared after leaving her home in Daisy Street in Govanhill, Glasgow, around 11am on Saturday.

Madeleine's Mother Questioned By Police
Kate McCann, the mother of missing British girl Madeleine McCann, is being re-interviewed by Portuguese police. Her husband, Gerry McCann, will be re-interviewed tomorrow. Mrs McCann arrived at Portimao police station in the Algarve at 2pm local time on Thursday. She was accompanied by her lawyer Carlos Pinto de Abreu.
