Police Appeal Following Abduction Of 6-Year-Old Girl
Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses of an alleged kidnapping in Burnley on Thursday 26 March.
A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of abducting a six-year-old girl on Nairne Street at about 16:00 last week.
It is understood that the girl was taken in a car and then dropped around 30 minutes later almost three miles away in Hapton.
The girl was found and returned home.
Det Ch Insp Joanne McHugh said: "We need anyone who may have witnessed a black coloured car in the Nairne Street or Whitefield Street areas around the time of the abduction to contact us."

Baby Girl Dies In Dog Attack
An 11-month-old baby has died after being mauled by a pet dog, police in Lancashire have said. The baby girl, from Emily Street in Blackburn, died in hospital at about 23:00 on Monday. Police have arrested a 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of child neglect in connection with the incident.

Man Arrested Over £1m Heroin Find
A man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of heroin, with an estimated street value of £1 million. Police Scotland recovered the heroin, along with a quantity of tablets, a firearm and ammunition, during the search of a property in Inverleith Street in Carntyne. Police are searching for a sex attacker who abducted a 17-year-old girl and sexually assaulted her in Ashton-under-Lyne at the weekend. The girl was walking along Whitacre Road the early hours of Sunday morning when a car pulled alongside her and the driver offered her a lift.
