Search on for attacker who raped teenage girl

Police are searching for a man who raped a 13-year-old girl in Greater Manchester.

The teenager was attacked as she walked home from the Texaco garage on Bury Road, in Bamford, Rochdale.

She spotted a man as she turned down Half Acre Road who shouted at her to stop. He then followed her and pushed her down an alley where he raped her. The girl then managed to run away.

The attacker is described as an Asian male in his early twenties. He had a shaven head and a beard and was wearing a dark hooded top and tracksuit bottoms at the time of the attack.

Greater Manchester Police described the attack as "nasty" and said that the teenager had been "traumatised" by the attack.
