Former boxing champ bailed again over war protest

Former world boxing champion Chris Eubank has said that he wants to be charged by police after answering bail in relation to an anti-war protest in London.

The former world middleweight and super-middleweight champ, 40, was arrested on February 22 for driving around Whitehall, honking his horn in protest at the Iraq war.

He was driving his seven-tonne Peterbilt truck with the message: "Blair, don't send our young prince to your catastrophic illegal war to make it look plausible" - a reference to Prince Harry's deployment to Iraq later this year.

Eubank was arrested for allegedly breaching the peace, driving without due care and attention and staging an unauthorised protest.

He arrived at Charing Cross police station on Thursday to answer bail driving the same truck. This time, the message on the back read: "Mr Blair, look after our people and our country. Your foreign policy creates terrorism. Military occupation causes terrorism. As long as we elect you, do the things we want - security, healthcare, education, social security."

Following his release again on bail, Eubank told reporters: "I want the police to charge me and I want Tony Blair to be impeached."
