'Fine warm weather' predicted for Easter

The Met Office has predicted fine and warm weather for the Easter weekend across the UK.

Forecasters predict that England and Wales are likely to be dry with light winds, variable amounts of cloud and spells of sunshine.

It is expected to turn "pleasantly warm" in many places as temperatures are predicted to reach highs between 17 and 19 degrees C in places, and as high as 21 degrees C in sheltered spots, although it is expected to be cooler on some coasts.

The Met Office has predicted that Scotland and Northern Ireland are likely to see a lot of dry and bright weather over the Easter break with some sunny intervals.

Cloud is expected to increase at times throughout the weekend, but temperatures are still expected to reach 17 degrees C in sheltered areas.
