Hugh Grant arrested over alleged assault
Hugh Grant has been arrested over an allegation that he attacked a photographer by throwing a tub of baked beans at him.
The 46-year-old actor is understood to have voluntarily attended Notting Hill police station on Wednesday where he was arrested and questioned for an hour.
He has been released on bail, but will have to return for questioning in another month.
Speaking to the 'Daily Star', photographer Ian Whittaker claimed that the actor had attacked him on Tuesday morning. He alleged that the actor had kicked him before throwing the tub of beans at him.
It is understood that the alleged incident took place near Mr Grant's home in west London.
The Metropolitan Police said: "A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with an alleged assault on a 43-year-old man in SW10 on April 24."

It is understood police were called to Grove Park in Carshalton at about 20:30 on Saturday to reports of a rape. Officers investigating the incident have arrested a 26-year-old on suspicion of rape.
