Goat killed and others mutilated in Kingsbury
Police in Warwickshire have appealed for information after a pet goat was killed and others were mutilated.
The attack took place on a small holding in Church Lane, Kingsbury on Thursday evening.
The owners of the animals discovered that they had intruders in one of the outbuildings where the goats were kept shortly before 10:30pm on Thursday night.
One of the four goats was dead. The animal had both of its horns hacked off, possibly with a pair of secateurs, and it had also been stabbed in the eye.
The three other goats suffered severe injuries. One had a gash along its spine, another had a gash around its neck, while the third had both horns removed and suffered stab injuries to the neck and eyes.
The animals are being treated by a vet.
Police are working with the RSPCA to find the offenders and have appealed for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area of Church Lane on Thursday evening or who knows anything about the attack to contact them.
RSPCA Inspector Jaqui Miller said that the attack was "truly disgusting". She said: "What happened to these goats was not just cruel beyond belief - it was also sick and deeply disturbing. It was a horrific thing to do to some innocent goats. It is impossible to imagine the suffering and terror caused to these animals."
Inspector Pete Wright said that the incident was "absolutely awful". He said: "It is sickening to think that anyone could inflict such injuries on domestic animals in this way.
"We are urging anyone with any information to contact the police. Crimestoppers have offered a reward for information leading to the charge and prosecution of the people involved."

Rugby star arrested following fight
England rugby player Olly Barkley has been arrested by police using CS spray following a fight in which a man suffered a broken jaw. The 24-year-old fly half, who also plays for Bath, was arrested by Devon and Cornwall Police in Newquay on Sunday night. A 19-year-old student from Cardiff and a 23-year-old man from Wadebridge were also arrested.
