Reward Offered In Search For Serial Attacker

Gardai have offered a 10,000 euro reward for information about a serial sex attacker who may be responsible for attacks on women in the Carlow and Cavan areas.

Detectives believe that one man is responsible for 15 assaults and attempted assaults in both counties over the past two years.

The attacks all took place in public places as the women walked alone or in victims' homes when the attacker posed as a tradesman.

The attacker is described as Irish, in his 20s, with black or brown hair and of slim build. He wears a small gold ring in his left ear at times and also wears a wedding band.

Crimestoppers have put up the reward for information about the attacker.
