Two Detained Over Boy's Pond Death

Police in West Midlands have arrested two men in connection with the death of a 16-year-old boy found dead in a pond.

Shane Awoo's body was recovered by divers from a pool in the Bickley Road area in Bilston, on Sunday.

The two men arrested, aged 20 and 22, are being held for questioning by West Midlands police. Three more men, who were arrested earlier, have been released on police bail.

Police are appealing for information on the incident over reports that the boy was thrown into the water.

It is understood that a post-mortem examination will take place later today.

Two 18-year-old men have been arrested by West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit. The two men were detained at their home addresses in Alum Rock and Washwood Heath at 7am on Tuesday morning, on suspicion of distributing a terrorist publication.
