Doherty's Court Hearing Adjourned

Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty's court hearing has been postponed until 26 October.

The adjournment was the decision of the court, and is not based on any request from Doherty or his associates.

It is believed the hearing has been delayed so that the singer can spend more time trying to kick his drug habit.

Doherty, 28, is facing a possible jail sentence after he was arrested in May for possession of Class A drugs, and driving without MOT or insurance.

In August Doherty was arrested over allegations that he has broken bail conditions by possessing drugs at Staffordshire's V Festival.

The police failed to put him before the courts within a 24-hour legal timeframe and he walked free.
