Norfolk Killing: Man Held

An 80-year-old woman whose body was found at a house in Norfolk was murdered, police believe.

Officers discovered the woman's body at an address in Sun Barn Road, Reepham, after they were called to the property on Saturday afternoon.

A local man, arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death, has been taken to Dereham police station where he is being questioned by detectives.

A post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death is taking place.

Man pleads guilty to stabbing student
A man who stabbed a student to death on a train has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Thomas Lee Wood, 22, from Skelmersdale in Lancashire admitted killing first-year student Thomas Grant, 19, from Glouestershire who had been attending St Andrews University.

Man Cleared Of Killing Police Officer
A man, accused of killing police officer Keith Blakelock in 1985, has been cleared of the charge. Nicholas Jacobs, 45, had previously denied killing Mr Blakelock. Blakelock was stabbed 43 times at Broadwater Farm, Tottenham, during riots that happened in north London.

Prostitute Jailed For Killing Wife
A man has been sentenced to a minimum of 19 years in prison for murdering his wife and dumping her body inside a suitcase. Paul Grabham, 26, had denied killing his 23-year-old wife Kirsty, whose body was left beneath the M4. The couple had worked as prostitutes, operating from their Rosehill Terrace, Mount Pleasant, Swansea.

Park Death Boy Died From 'Head Injuries'
A post mortem has found that a teenager beaten to death in a public park died from head injuries. Seventeen-year-old Amar Aslam was found in a West Yorkshire park on Sunday evening by two passers-by. Emergency services were called to Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury at around 7.00pm but Amar was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police In 'Dock' Over Menezes Killing
The police chief in charge of the officers who killed Jean Charles de Menezes has denied giving the order to shoot the innocent Brazilian. Officers mistook him for would-be suicide bomber Hussain Osman, codenamed Nettletip.
