Guard Of Honour For Fallen Firefighters

Three of the firefighters who lost their lives in a warehouse blaze in Warwickshire were given a guard of honour by hundreds of their colleagues as their bodies were recovered from the plant.

The bodies of John Averis, 27, Darren Yates-Badley, 24 and Ashley Stephens, 20, had been missing since the blaze broke out at the vegetable packing and distribution plant in Atherstone on Stour on Friday.

A fourth firefighter, Ian Reid, 44, was also killed in the blaze.

The search for the missing firefighters had been hampered because the building had been left structurally unsafe after the fire.

Police are still treating the fire as suspicious.
