Search On For London Teen's Killers

Police are continuing to search for the killers of a 17-year-old boy who was shot dead in a north London street on Wednesday evening.

According to reports, Etem Celebi, who is of Turkish heritage, was sitting on a wall with some friends in Stoke Newington, north London, when he was approached by two youths who asked him if he was "from here".

When Etem replied 'Yes', the youths opened fire on him, shooting him at point-blank range.

Police found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 11pm.

Scotland Yard’s Homicide and Serious Command Unit have launched a murder inquiry. Police said that the circumstances surrounding the shooting were unclear and they were keeping an open mind about the motive.

Man Shot Dead By Police In North London
A man has been shot dead by police officers in north London. The 43-year-old victim was killed at an address at Picardy House, Cedar Road, Enfield on 30 August. Officers were alerted at 9:35pm of a man at an address in Barnet making threats to kill and in possession of what was believed to be a firearm.

Police Probe After Man Shot Dead In East London
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man in his 20s was shot dead in south east London. The victim was found unconscious with head injuries and wounds to his body in Penrose Street, Walworth, at around 2.50am on Friday. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem is due to be carried out later today.

Man shot dead by police in London
Police officers in London have shot dead a man during an operation in west London, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed. The 52-year-old man, who has not yet been formally identified, was fatally wounded during the incident in Hangar Green in Ealing on Tuesday night.

Reward offered to catch PC killers
Crimestoppers has offered a £50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killers of PC Sharon Beshenivsky. PC Beshenivsky, a 38-year-old mother-of-three with two stepchildren, was shot dead by armed robbers as she went to answer a call at a travel agency in Bradford on November 18.
