Headless Body Discovered Wrapped In Blankets
Police are investigating a murder today after a decapitated body was found wrapped in blankets in a KIlburn supermarket storage cage.
Officers were alerted by a member of the public after the headless adult man was found behind some shops at Kingsgate Place, Kilburn, north west London.
A Met Police spokesman said the body was wrapped in blankets or a duvet and secured with duct tape. Police are still searching for the head and a possible murder weapon.
The body still remains at the crime scene (Thursday) and forensic investigators are examining the contents of nearby rubbish bins and the immediate area.
Scotland Yard said that a post-mortem and inquest will be scheduled in due course.
Local resident Homayon Mahgerefteh, 50, said there had been several killings in the area in recent years.
"This is, I think, the fifth person killed in this area in the last four years," he said.
"It's not a safe area. A boy was killed on a balcony quite nearby recently.
"They should put up security cameras so that they can catch people like this."

Stepbrother Of Becky Watts Charged With Murder
The stepbrother of 16-year-old Becky Watts has been charged with murder. Nathan Matthews, 28, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Bristol Crown Court on 2 April. His girlfriend, Shauna Hoare, 21, was also remanded in custody.

A mother who was found dead in a field in the New Forest is believed to have been stabbed to death. Penelope Davis, 47, was looking after her horses at the time of the attack. Her husband, Pete, found her body on Ley Green Farm in Beaulieu. Police have launched a murder investigation and are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
