Body Of Baby Girl Found In Woodland
The body of a baby girl has been discovered in woods in Redcar, North Yorkshire.
Cleveland Police were called to the area near Kirkleatham Lane, just before 2pm on Wednesday following reports teenagers made the discovery.
A police spokeswoman confirmed a post-mortem examination revealed the baby had been born several weeks prematurely and may have been left there over the past few days.
"Officers are extremely concerned for the welfare of the baby's mother and say that she will probably not only be in need of urgent medical attention, but will be in an extremely vulnerable state," the spokeswoman said.
"They urge her or her family to come forward and say that all information will be treated sensitively."
Police are appealing for anyone who may have information, or may be able to help with the mother’s identity to contact Acting Chief Inspector Ian White on: 01642 302626.

Missing Baby Found 'Safe And Well'
A nine-month-old baby girl who was reported missing from her home in Glouchestershire on Monday has been found safe and well. Maylayah Delaney had been reported missing by her mother shortly before lunch-time on Monday. Police have confirmed that a man from the West Midlands is helping them with their inquiries.

Police have issued an appeal for information after a baby died and his mother was injured in an arson attack on a house in Newcastle. Four-month-old Alexander Gallon died in hospital, following the attack at the house in Cowgate, Newcastle on Sunday night.
