Man Found Guilty Of Hammer Murders

A man has been found guilty of the murder of his ex-girlfriend and her two children in a brutal hammer attack at their Manchester home.

Pierre Williams, 33, from Birmingham had denied murdering and sexually assaulting Beverley Samuels, 36 and her 18-year-old daughter Kesha Wizzart and killing Beverley's 13-year-old son Fred Wizzart.

However, he was found guilty at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday and has been sentenced to a minimum of 38 years in jail.

The bodies of Mrs Samuels' and her two children were found in their home in Fallowfield, Manchester last July.

Mrs Samuels, a nurse at Manchester Royal Infirmary, had been sexually assaulted before being struck on the head with seven times.

Her daughter Kesha, who had appeared on ITV's 'Young Stars In Their Eyes' in 2004, had had her hands tied behind her back before she was killed in the same way. Her brother Fred was found in the same bedroom as his mother.

During the trial, Williams had claimed that he had been in the house before the attack took place and had seen a 'hooded man' at the house, whom he blamed for the murders.

However, the court also heard that blood from each victim was found on a pair of his shorts and Williams was unable to explain how it got there.

Williams was found guilty of the murders and sexual assaults after just over four hours of jury deliberations.

After the verdict was read out, Williams began struggling with the guards who were with him and had to be restrained by other officers.
