Teenage Murders In London

Two teenage boys aged 14 and 17 have been stabbed to death in London in separate attacks.

The murders bring the number of teenagers killed in the capital this year to 11. There were 26 murders in total last year.

Amro Elbadawi, 14, died in hospital after being stabbed in Dart Street, Queen’s Park, west London.

Devoe Roach, 17, of Stoke Newington, was killed in a knife attack in Stamford Hill, north London.

Scotland Yard said Met Commissioner Sir Ian Blair was being briefed on inquiries.

Amro, a British national from Egypt, lived on Mozart estate, in West Kilburn, west London.

His next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem is to take place at Westminster mortuary.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Mortimer, from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "I would urge anyone who may have information to come forward and help us with our investigation."

Outside the capital, a16-year-old boy died in Birmingham after being stabbed in the leg in Hawkesley yesterday afternoon.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested.

Alice Gross Police Searching West London Park
A search is underway at a west London park near the canal towpath where teenager Alice Gross was last seen. Police investigating the 14-year-old's disappearance on 28 August have cordoned off Elthorne Park and are conducting a search. Police say the park is an "area of interest".

Heathrow Tube closed after knife death
The Tube link to Heathrow airport has been closed after a teenager was killed at a west London station last night. British Transport Police and the Metropolitan Police were called in to Hounslow West Underground station late last night after an 18-year-old man was stabbed during a fight involving up to eight people.

Appeal After Man Fatally Stabbed In West London
A murder investigation has been launched into the death of a man in west London. Police said that 59-year-old Tony Charlery was stabbed in the neck on Portobello Road in Notting Hill, in the early hours of Saturday morning. It is believed that Mr Charlery was trying to run away from his attackers when he was stabbed. He died at the scene.

Teenager stabbed to death in west London
A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed to death during a disturbance in Hammersmith, west London. The teenager, who has not been formally identified, was found in Hammersmith Grove on Wednesday around 5:15pm. He was taken to hospital, but died later. The area where the incident took place has been cordoned off.

Man Jailed For Attempted Murder Of Pc
A south London man has been jailed for 25 years for tying to shoot a policeman. Michael Mitchell, 32, of Babington Road, Streatham, was convicted of attempting to murder Pc Shaun Callow, possession of a firearm and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
