Man Arrested Over Darlington Sex Attack

Police investigating the sexual assault of a teenager girl in her home in Darlington have arrested a man.

The 17-year-old was asleep in her bedroom in her home in Harris Street, near the town's Firth Moor estate, on Sunday morning when it is believed that an intruder entered the house and attacked her.

The incident was described by Durham Police as "a despicable attack on a vulnerable young woman who was alone in the house at the time".

Police have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of rape. He is currently being questioned.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

Convicted Police Murderer Dale Cregan Moves To Secure Hospital
The man jailed for the murder of two police officers has been moved from Strangeways prison in Manchester to the maximum-security Ashworth Hospital. 30-year-old Dale Cregan was given a whole-life sentence for the murders of PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes as well as father and son David and Mark Short.
