Man Dies After Nightclub Shooting
A man has been shot dead outside an east London nightclub.
The 35-year-old victim was hit outside Club Red in Cable Street, Limehouse, in the early hours of Sunday.
The black man, from west London was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance staff.
A man believed to be in his 20s was arrested when he voluntarily attended a police station and is being questioned in connection with the inquiry.
A cordon has been set up in the surrounding area while forensic teams search for clues.
Officers from the Met's Operation Trident, which deals with gun crime in the black community, are investigating the shooting.
It is understood the victim had been at the club with friends prior to the shooting.
Local residents said they were woken by police sirens in the early hours of the morning.
A shopkeeper said "there were huge crowds of people here outside the nightclub" and "it's pretty terrifying but I'm not surprised".
"Every weekend we get trouble with people drinking outside the club."

Hermitage village in shock after family shooting horror
Neighbours of the three family members shot dead at their £1 million luxury mansion in Hermitage, Berkshire, have been leaving flowers close to the house in the village of Slanting Hill. The three dead have been named locally as Alan Pemberton, a 48-year-old financial advisor, his 47-year-old estranged wife Julia and their 17-year-old son William.

Man Charged Over Fatal Shooting In Liverpool
A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Garston, Liverpool on Tuesday night. Police were called to reports of a road accident between a car and a scrambler bike on Banks Road in Garston at about 20:45 last night. However, when police arrived at the scene they found an 18-year-old man with serious gunshot wounds.

Double Murder Investigation Underway In Islington
A murder inquiry is currently underway following a shooting in Islington. Police were called at approximately 4.30am yesterday, following reports of a shooting outside Strang House, Britannia Row, in North London. Officers, ambulance service (LAS) and air ambulance (HEMS) attended and discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
