Memorial Service For Murdered Couple

A memorial service has been held for murdered honeymooners Ben and Catherine Mullany, and the Duchess of York joined mourners at the service.

Duchess Sarah Ferguson read a poem at Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff, and also spoke of her decision to become a patron of the charity which was set up to support other medical students.

The Duchess met with family members when she was on a plane to Antigua and has kept in touch with them.

The funeral service was led by the Archbishop of Wales Barry Morgan.

On 27 July, Ben and Catherine were killed when thieves broke into their honeymoon suite and shot them.

Catherine died instantly and Ben died a week later.

Two men, Avie Howell, 17, and Kaniel Martin, 20, have been remanded in custody in St John's, the capital of Antigua, charged with the murders.
