Parents Of Murdered Chinese Students Appeal

The family members of two Chinese students murdered in Newcastle have flown in from China to make an appeal for information to help find their killer.

The bodies of Zhen Xing Yang and his girlfriend Xi Zhou, both 25, were found on August 9 at their flat in the city's West End.

They had been murdered in a "frenzied" knife attack. Mr Zhen had also been tortured before being stabbed to death.

Their cat was also drowned.

BBC's Crimewatch featured a reconstruction of the last known movements of the couple.

According to the BBC callers to the programme suggested a name for a lodger who police are trying to trace.
