Witness Appeal After Ilford Fatal Stabbing
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a 19-year-old man was murdered in Ilford.
Police were called at approximately 2.30am on Saturday 8 November to reports of a stabbing in High Road at the junction with Clements Road, Ilford.
The 19-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim, aged 17, was taken to an east London hospital with stab wounds. He has since been discharged.
The victim's next-of-kin have been informed and a post mortem gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the heart.
At this stage it is believed an altercation occurred between the two victims and a group of up to three other men. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they are "open minded" as to the motive.
