Investigation After Elderly Couple Found Dead At Home
An elderly couple have been found dead at their home in the Greater Manchester area.
Detectives were called to the home of Ken and Eileen Martin, aged 77 and 76, on Monday, where the bodies were discovered at their home on Broadway, Davyhulme at 6.05pm.
Family members have described the couple - who were due to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary - as "devoted".
According to a Greater Manchester Police, the post mortem examinations are to take place today.
Police issued a statement on behalf of the family. It read: "They were a very devoted couple and the family cannot comprehend what has happened.
"At the moment we are all in deep shock."
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the pair's deaths is currently underway. Detectives are not looking for anyone else.
