Man Arrested Over Derby Shooting
A man has been arrested in relation to the death of a 15-year-old boy who was shot in the chest in Derby.
Police have launched a murder hunt after Kadeem Blackwood, who had been walking along Caxon Street in Derby, just after 9.15pm on Tuesday, was shot in the chest.
The teenager was taken to Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, but died a short time later from his injuries.
The 19-year-old arrested man is in custody, and is currently being questioned by Derbyshire Police.
Armed officers and police dogs were sent to the Normanton area of Derby, where they searched for the boy's killers.
A police helicopter also assisted in the search, however they were unable to find them.
Assistant Chief Constable Peter Goodman said: "This is a terrible tragedy in which a young teenager has lost his life.
"The public can rest assured that we are determined to bring the offenders to justice. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult and distressing time."
He added: "I would urge anyone who witnessed the shooting, or anyone with information about the incident, to come forward."

Man Charged With Son's Murder
A man is due to appear in court charged with the murder of his son. Police were called after the seven-month-old boy was taken into the Royal Derby Hospital on Tuesday. The boy from Waterford Drive, Derbyshire, was transferred to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he died on Wednesday night.

Man Arrested Over School Nail Bomb Attack
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing a nail bomb blast outside a school in Merseyside. The blast happened at Runnymede St Edwards school in West Derby last Friday, as pupils were leaving school for the weekend. The nail bomb had been left in a Nissan Micra belonging to a teacher at the school. No one was injured in the incident.

Police Say Derby House Fire Was Started Deliberately
Derbyshire police believe the house fire that killed 6 children was started deliberately. Five children aged between five and 10 died in the early hours of Friday after the blaze at a property on Victory Road in the Allenton area, while a sixth child died in hospital overnight on Sunday.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.
