More Body Parts Found In Hertfordshire

Detectives investigating the discovery of human body parts have received a report that more remains have been uncovered in Hertfordshire.

Police say a member of the public called them to a lay-by on the northbound carriageway off the A10 Puckeridge bypass.

This follows the grim discovery of a man's severed head which was discovered in Ashfordby, Leicestershire last week – just days after an arm and a leg were found about 80 miles away at separate locations in Hertfordshire.

A police spokesman said: "It is too early to say at this stage exactly what has been found, and specialist forensic teams and search officers will be in attendance, and a search of the area will be carried out this afternoon."

The area has been cordoned off and a closure of lane one is in place, while detectives from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime unit are at the scene.
