Boy Dies In Neighbour's Pond
A three-year-old boy has died after being found face down in a neighbour's garden pond.
Freddie Watmough was discovered by police who were called after he went missing from a house in Victoria Street in Dover on Saturday morning.
His parents released a statement saying: "We just can't believe he was taken away from us so suddenly and in such a tragic way."
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Police carried out a search of the area and found the boy in a neighbouring garden, face down in a pond.
"An officer attempted emergency first aid and the boy was taken by ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead."
He added that the boy's death is not being treated as suspicious.
Edward Sedgwick, who lives in Victoria Street, Cover, where Freddie went missing, said: "We were told that the little boy had wandered off and his family were immediately out looking for him.
"The next thing we knew was that he'd been found but he was hurt.
"A helicopter turned up shortly after that and we heard about an hour later that the child had died."

Toddler In Pond Tragedy
An investigation has been launched after a three-year-old boy died when he fell into a garden pond. Ethan Read, from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, died in spite of his mother's attempts to revive him before the ambulance arrived. The incident happened at an address in Coney Weston. A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a baby bitten by dog in Sunderland. The three-week-old baby boy died in hospital following an incident at his home in Falkland Road. Police were called to the address at 04:15 on Saturday, 20 June. It is understood that the baby had been bitten by the families pet dog.

A 10-year-old boy has died after falling into a river in Argyll while on holiday with his family. Emergency services were called to the incident at 13:45 on Tuesday. The boy was rescued by a passer-by after getting into difficulties. He was airlifted to Glasgow for treatment, however he later died at Yorkhill Hospital.

Park Death Boy Died From 'Head Injuries'
A post mortem has found that a teenager beaten to death in a public park died from head injuries. Seventeen-year-old Amar Aslam was found in a West Yorkshire park on Sunday evening by two passers-by. Emergency services were called to Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury at around 7.00pm but Amar was pronounced dead at the scene.

3-Year-Old Dies After Pool Incident
A 3-year-old boy has died in Wiltshire after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool. It is understood that the boy was reported missing on Wednesday evening, but was found in the nearby pool around 20 minutes later. He was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital.
