Boyfriend Found Guilty Over Model Murder
Ricardo Morrison, the boyfriend of a model who was stabbed to death in Greater Manchester, has been found guilty of her murder.
Morrison, 22, used a six-inch kitchen knife to attack 19-year-old Amy Leigh Barnes, who was left to die in a pool of blood at her grandmother's in Farnworth, near Bolton, Lancashire.
Miss Barnes was found bleeding to death by her father in November 2008.
A jury convicted Morrison following an 11-day trial at Manchester Crown Court.
Morrison's mother, PC Melda Wilks, who let him wash his bloodstained clothes at her home, was found not guilty of assisting an offender.
During the three-week trial, the 22-year-old stabbed Miss Barnes nine times, and with such force that her liver had been perforated.
The 19-year-old who had appeared in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and modelled in Playboy, Cosmopolitan and Nuts, made a 999 call and told the operator: "I have been stabbed. I can't breathe. I have been stabbed."
The operator asked her who had stabbed her and she replied: "My boyfriend", the court heard.

Life Sentence For Claire Tiltman Murderer
Colin Ash-Smith has been sentenced to life for the murder of 16-year-old Claire Tiltman in 1993. Ash-Smith was already serving three life sentences for attacks on two other women when he was charged with the murder of the Kent schoolgirl. Claire Tiltman was found stabbed to death in an alleyway in Greenhithe, four days after her sixteenth birthday.

Recep Cetin has been jailed for life for the murders of two UK holidaymakers in Turkey. Marion Graham (54) and Cathy Dinsmore (53), from Co Down in Northern Ireland, were found stabbed to death and buried in shallow graves in a wood some 75 miles outside the holiday resort of Kusadasi.

18-Year-Old Charged With Teen's Murder
A teenager has been charged with the murder of an 18-year-old man, who was fatally stabbed outside a benefit concert for a stabbing victim. 18-year-old Armani Mitchell was arrested in Saturday in connection with the death of Joshua Redman who was attacked outside a club in Selly Oak, Birmingham, at around 11pm on Friday.

British Boxer Sought Over Thailand Murder
A British kickboxer is being sought by police in Thailand over the murder of an American tourist. Police wish to speak to Lee Aldhouse, 28, in connection with the murder of former US Marine Dashawn Longfellow. It is understood that Mr Longfellow, 23, was found stabbed to death in his room at the Ya Nui Paradise resort in Phuket.
