Missing Shropshire Woman Located

A search for a missing Shropshire woman has been called off after she turned up safely - and walked into a local hospital.

Tracy Gough, 29, of Ludlow, Shropshire has not been since she made a distress call to police on Saturday, indicating that she had injured herself after falling into a hole or ditch, possibly in the Cockshutt area of North Shropshire.

Her mobile phone ran out of battery power about 20 minutes later and police launched a major search.

Ms Gough had last been seen around 2pm on Saturday at a bus stop in Shelton, Shrewsbury.

However, police have confirmed that Ms Gough walked into the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford shortly after 8am on Thursday.

Inspector Simon Lewis from West Mercia Police told reporters: "We are pleased to say she appears to be safe and well.

"Apart from seeming confused and not sure where she has been over the past few days, she appeared to be in good health.

"Once she has been medically checked, we will debrief her to find out more about her movements since last Saturday."
