Our vision... ... is to have a world in which all blind and visually impaired people have the same rights, opportunities and responsibilities as everyone else.
Our mission... ...is to provide guide dogs, mobility and other rehabilitation services that meet the needs of blind and partially sighted people in Northern Ireland.
Guide Dogs makes a real difference to the independence and mobility of many people throughout the province every year, with the provision of special four legged guides and through our other work. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on the generosity of the public.
If you would like further information about our services, or would like to make a donation to the charity please contact us by phone, email or visit our Facebook page.
Volunteering Guide Dogs could not function as a charity without the help and hard work of thousands of dedicated volunteers across the UK. If you are interested in joining us, or simply want to enquire about volunteering opportunities, please contact our National Volunteering Office on 0845 371 7771.
Legacies 2 out of 3 working guide dogs are funded by money left to the charity in legacies and for this we are very grateful. If this is something you would like to discuss with someone, please contact our Legacy department in Hillfields, Reading on 01189 835555.
Sponsor a Puppy Guide Dogs breeds around 1300 pups a year to meet the needs of our clients. Each one costs around £49,000 over their lifetime as a guide. Sponsor a Puppy is a very popular scheme as it makes a great gift, especially for younger children, and helps towards the cost of raising our pups. The named person is kept regularly updated on their sponsored pup for 18 months, with letters and photos. Please let us know if you would like a leaflet about this scheme.
