Belfast Skills Development has been training machine and plant operators for the past 12 years. The company is a Construction Industry Training Board (C.I.T.B), Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (I.T.S.S.A.R) Oxford and Cambridge and Royal Society of Arts (O.C.R) Approved Centre.
We currently train on all types of forklift and plant and machinery. Belfast Skills Development is a category 2 training organisation, which means that our instructors can train offsite and we can still issue certificates of training, with approval coming from the joint industrial council which is set up by government to monitor the standards for the forklift training.
All customers/students are trained to Nationally Agreed Standards under the Joint Industrial Forum 2000 and to the Approved Code of Practice.
We hold health and safety training courses and are approved to carry out a 1 day health and safety course for the C.I.T.B. so that clients are included unto the construction skills register.
All of our instructors are fully qualified and approved to train and examine prospective clients.
Another part of our business is to train forklift instructors. We create health & safety policies for various companies and train supervisors on how to carry out and implement risk assessments.
