Two men arrested in connection with Lurgan drugs find

Police have arrested two men following a number of searches in County Armagh.

The raids were carried out on several premises and two vehicles in the Lurgan area.

Police have revealed that a “significant” quantity of drugs were recovered.

The two men arrested are being held in police custody and are currently helping detectives with their inquiries.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old man has been charged with possession of a Class B drug, possession of a Class C drug, and possession of a Class C drug with intent to supply.

It is understood that the charges relate to a search at a house in the Hill Street area of Lisburn yesterday evening.

A PSNI spokesman has revealed that a number of drugs, including a “nine bar” of cannabis resin were seized by police.

The man is expected to appear before Lisburn Magistrates Court on May 8.

Man Wanted In Lithuania Arrested In Magherafelt
The PSNI have arrested a 23-year-old man in Magherafelt wanted in Lithuania to face charges of human trafficking. 15-Year-Old Arrested Following Stabbing In Lisburn
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 14-year-old in the Knockmore Road area of Lisburn last night, Monday 25th March. Police have said that at approximately 7.40pm on Monday 25 March, a 14-year-old boy had been approached by a group of teenagers, before being stabbed in the lower back.

Man Jailed For Drugs Offences
A Newtownabbey man has been handed a custodial sentence for a series of drugs offences following police raids as part of a paramilitary probe. 49-year-old William Axon will serve two years imprisonment, half in custody and half on licence.

Two arrested following police raids
Two men have been arrested following police searches in north Belfast. Two handguns, ammunition, drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000, documents and around £17,000 in cash, were seized during the raids, which are believed to be linked to organised crime in the city.

Woman Arrested In Coleraine Search Operation
A 44-year-old woman has been arrested following a search operation in Coleraine. Officers from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch conducted a search of a house in the Coleraine on the evening of Wednesday 29th November, and seized a number of items.
