Man Wanted In Lithuania Arrested In Magherafelt

The PSNI have arrested a 23-year-old man in Magherafelt wanted in Lithuania to face charges of human trafficking.

The man was arrested by officers from the Police Service's local policing team in Magherafelt, with assistance from the International Policing Unit. He is expected appear before extradition court in Belfast later today.

Sergeant Davey from the International Policing Unit said: "This arrest is good example of how our Local Policing Teams are able to identify and arrest those wanted internationally.

"The Police Service of Northern Ireland will continue to work with our international partners to locate and arrest those sought for extradition."

BCC Welcomes Conviction Of Belfast Man For Dog Attack
Belfast City Council (BCC) has welcomed the conviction of a man at Belfast Magistrates Court for an offence involving a dog attack on a woman. BCC brought the prosecution against 43-year-old Stuart Grace, of Forthriver Crescent, Belfast, following a report that Mr Grace’s German Shepherd dog had attacked a woman, injuring her arm and back.
