Security Alert Ongoing In L'Derry's Waterside

Police in L'Derry are currently responding to a security alert on Limavady Road in the Waterside area, following the discovery of a suspicious package reported just after 10:15am this morning, May 28th. A public safety operation is in effect, with cordons established around the Heron Way and Nelson Drive areas.

While no roads have been closed and no evacuations of homes have been ordered at this time, Ebrington Primary School and Nursery has made the precautionary decision to close for the remainder of the day.
