A top joinery business, MJM Group, has secured new contracts worth £6.2million with support from Invest Northern Ireland.

The award winning Newry-based firm provides specialist joinery fit out and marine refurbishment services to clients from the banking, hospitality and commercial retail sectors. The contracts will see the firm supply a number of London hotels with their specialist joinery services.

Invest NI, with part funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), has offered MJM Group a broad range of support towards training, development, marketing and strategic planning which has enhanced skills levels and their ability to secure new contracts in key markets.

Commenting on the contract successes, Jeremy Fitch, Invest NI's Managing Director, Business International, said: "This local company has consistently invested in skills and wider capability development in order to capitalise on sales outside Northern Ireland.

"Their latest hotel fit out contract highlights how making fundamental and continuous improvements to operations can help local companies position themselves strongly to win new business in key markets."
