Stena Line to make life easier for local passengers

Local ferry firm Stena Line has launched a new facility that will allow passengers to avail of an interest free ‘sail now pay later’ option when booking their tickets.

The new Easypay scheme offers Stena Line customers the chance to book any ‘car inclusive’ travel ticket or Stena Line holiday over £150 and to pay for the trip over a period of six months interest free.

Customers in Northern Ireland will be among the first to take advantage of the scheme with Stena Line pioneering the project on its Belfast to Stranraer route.

Stena Line’s Head of Marketing, Paul Grant, said: “As market leader, Stena Line is always looking at ways of making life easier for our customers and setting new standards in the ferry industry.

“By spreading payments over six months, passengers can now afford to treat themselves by travelling at peak times, upgrading their accommodation or booking Club Class with priority boarding and disembarkation.

He added: “We think it’s a huge step forward for ferry travel between Northern Ireland and Scotland and are confident that it’s going to be a huge hit with passengers.”

Easypay will be operated through Open + Direct Retail Services, and bookings must be made a minimum of two weeks prior to the date of departure. (CL)
