Man Charged With 'Distraction' Burglary
A 48-year-old man has been charged in connection with a "distraction" burglary in West Belfast in February. Detectives from West Belfast charged the man who is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 30 and the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service. The charge is in connection with a distraction burglary in the Highlink area, West Belfast on Friday, 18th February.
Shots Fired In North Belfast
Detectives in North Belfast are appealing for information after a report of shots fired at premises in the Ardilea Street area on Wednesday night. According to the PSNI, just after 11.15pm, it was reported that a male in a house in the area heard a loud noise. One strikemark was located on a front window at the house. One male was treated for shock as a result of the incident. Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Tennent Street CID on 0845 600 8000. Those who prefer to provide information without giving their details can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Pipebomb 'Could Have Killed'
An unexploded pipebomb, which lay close to a child's play park in Strabane, could have killed, according to the PSNI. The device, which was thrown early on Thursday morning, was found between the perimeter fence of the local police station and the play park in the Courtrai Park area on Thursday evening. According to reports, young children were playing within a lethal distance of the device. A phone call was made to police telling them it had not exploded. Local Area Commander Andy Lemon said children who were in the playpark at the time could have been killed.

Two released in Loughinisland murder investigation
Two people arrested yesterday in connection with the with the murder of six men in County Down in 1994, have been released without charge. The 45-year-old man and 38-year-old woman were arrested in the greater Belfast area yesterday morning and were held for questioning at the serious crime suite in Antrim.

Appeal After Masked Men Attack Home In West Belfast
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a burglary in west Belfast on Monday, 25 September. At approximately 8.30pm, three masked men forced their way into a property in the Oakman Street area, with a lone female occupant. The men were dressed in dark coloured clothing with their faces covered.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of an armed robbery at commercial premises at the Suffolk Road area of West Belfast on Friday 21st July. Shortly before 8:55pm, it was reported that three masked men, with one of them armed with a suspected firearm, entered the rear of a fast food takeaway in the area.

Two Pensioners Charged In Edward Gibson Murder Probe
Two pensioners have been charged over the murder of Edward Gibson in west Belfast last October. Mr Gibson, 28, died after being shot in the Clonfadden Crescent area on 24 October. The man, 68, and woman, 70, have been charged with assisting an offender and failing to provide information. They are due to appear in court on 04 November.
