Derry Shooting Probed By PSNI

Police officers in Londonderry are appealing for information after an incident where shots were fired at a house in the Quarry Street area of the border city.

It happened on the evening of Wednesday 10 August and it is believed that shortly after 11pm, at least four shots were fired at the house where the occupant was inside.

The police said that no one was injured in the incident and they also reported that two men were witnessed at the scene, dressed in jeans and black hooded tops with the hoods up.

After the shots were fired it is believed that they made off to a nearby waiting car.

Meanwhile, detectives are also appealing for information following a robbery in the Great James Street area of the city on the evening of Wednesday 10 August.

The police said that, at approximately 9.05pm, a man walked into a shop in the area and produced a knife to a member of staff and then made off with a sum of cash, heading towards Derry city centre.

The man is described as being between 18 and 20 years old, between 5'10" and 6'0" tall, of slim build, with dark fair hair. He was wearing an orange hooded top and had a local accent.

Police Investigating Reports Of Shots Fired In L'Derry
Police in L'Derry have issued an appeal for information following a suspected shooting incident. Shots were reportedly fired in the Sevenoaks area of the city at about 9:40pm. There are no reports of any injuries. Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have witnesses anything suspicious in the area, is asked to contact police.

'Investigative Failures' By Police Found Over Four Deaths
