Concern raised over ambulance station closure
Concern has been raised over the closure of an ambulance station in east Belfast.
The station, located at Templemore Avenue in the east of the city, has had to close temporarily after its roof was damaged by heavy rain overnight.
Crews from a station at Broadway in west Belfast are to set provide cover for the absent Templemore crew, prompting worry that response times could take up to five minutes longer.
Staff are said to be concerned over the fact that they are “going to have to travel further to get to our patients when time is of a critical nature". (MB)
