Man Arrested Over Assault On Pensioner

A man has been arrested following an assault on a 72-year-old at his home on the Doagh Road are of Newtownabbey on Saturday.

The elderly man received a suspected broken ankle and cuts to his face in the attack.

The 20-year-old remains in custody for questioning.

Man Arrested In Connection With East Belfast Drug Seizures
A man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs related offences following searches in south and east Belfast on Saturday 23rd July. Shortly before 6.20pm, local officers stopped and searched a male in the Pakenham Street area, and located a quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs.

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

Four men have been arrested and suspected Class B illegal drugs worth and estimated £275,000 seized by the PSNI on Tuesday 26 July. Detective Inspector Kelly said: "Following searches of two vehicles and four properties across the Belfast and Lurgan areas, a number of items were seized.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Elderly Man Suffers Smoke Inhalation In Co Down Arson
A man aged in 90s was left in need of treatment for smoke inhalation after two arson attacks in Downpatrick. Police are probing a link between two deliberate ignitions in the Killough Walk and Vianstown Heights area of the town, less than a mile from each other, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
